Robert Ryon Hendry
Robert Hendry received both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida. Although he began his career in Pensacola, Florida, Mr. Hendry has practiced law in Orlando for more than forty years.
Practicing principally in the areas of International, Corporate, and Business Law, Mr. Hendry devotes a substantial portion of his time to advising and counseling clients involved in international transactions. He assists foreign clients in areas such as doing business in the United States and, similarly, advises domestic clients in establishing foreign businesses or acquiring foreign property or businesses.
Mr. Hendry is very active in professional and trade organizations devoted to international law and business. Within the Florida Bar, he is a past Chairman of the initial International Law Certification Committee and has served as Chairman of the International Law Committee, member of the International Law Advisory Committee and is a member of the Executive Council of the International Law Section; he is past-President of the Florida Association for Volunteer Action in Caribbean and the Americas which administers the Florida International Volunteer Corps, member and Chairman of the Florida District Export Council, past Chairman of the Florida Council of International Development, and has served as Chairman on two of the Florida Governor's Conferences on World Trade. Mr. Hendry is a member of the International Trade and Economic Development Board and the audit committee of Enterprise Florida and presently Chairs the Florida Trade Partners for Enterprise Florida.
Mr. Hendry has lectured in the areas of International, Business, Litigation and Real Estate Law in seminars sponsored by the Florida Bar, the University of Miami, the Florida Department of Commerce, the United States Department of Commerce, Nova University, CASH Magazine (Germany) and private organizations. He is author of the book U.S. Real Estate and the Foreign Investor, and has published articles in the International Law Journal of the Florida Bar and other periodicals. He is board certified by the Florida Bar in International Law.
Mr. Hendry is listed in the Marquis Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in the South and Southeast and Who's Who in American Law. He is designated as a "Leading American Attorney" and a "Leading Florida Attorney".
